CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are looking for two suspects who are wanted for attacking a store employee with a hammer on Staten Island.

It happened early Wednesday morning at the Itsy Bitsy Baby furniture store Forest Avenue.

Two men walked into the store, assaulted a 30-year-old employee with a hammer and then took off, police said. Nothing was taken from the store and police said the suspects didn’t say anything to the victim to suggest a possible motive.

The attack left the victim with numerous lacerations and swelling to the head and body, police said.

Both suspects were seen on surveillance video.

Police describe the suspects as black men in their 20s. One suspect is about 6 feet tall with a thin build and was wearing a white t-shirt. The second suspect is about 6-foot-3-inches tall, about 200 pounds and was wearing a white t-shirt.
